Best Western Hotel Kurfuerst Wilhelm I

Much to expensive for the service. For the price we paid for one night 230 euros, you would expect a much nicer room (noisy tramway) and a much better breakfast.

We stayed there for one nite. Checkin and checkout were easy. The hotel is an old building with lots of pictures inside, especially a Tromploil in the staircase. The room was very spacy with a huge bathroom and a room in fromt of the main room. There was lot of space for clothing, a flat screen, good wifi, a couch and a wonderful bed with a harder matrasse, what I like. The curtains can daren the room effectivly. Breakfast is a buffet style, with everything availible. Take a good time, if a bunch of guests is entering, it is quickly a bit crowded. However, we enjoyed our breakfast and we appreciated that we could store our luggage throughout the day (we visited the castle and the park). A good and interesting hotel.

Stayed at the Best Western for two nights whilst back packing (over 50’s style) through Germany. We booked a junior suite. Positives: - Very close location to the Kassel Wilhelmshöhe train station that is perfect for exploring the Wilhelmshöhe Park. - Very nice welcome from the staff - Clean, large room, complimentary water and nespresso machine. - Free two day travel card from the hotel to get you into the centre of Kassel(approx 3km by tram). Negatives: - Rooms facing towards the train station/tram lines will be noisy from the traffic so ask for a room at the back if that is a problem(the hotel kindly provide ear plugs if needed). We were satisfied with a 2 night stay but pleased to be moving on.
