Jens Weissflog Appartementhotel

To 2. Advent in the Ore Mountains. The destination was the Christmas market in Annaberg-Buchholz and the Fichtelberg. We happened to come across the hotel with its very good rating. And it's deserved. Rooms and bathroom are spacious and comfortable, ours with a beautiful view of the valley. The sauna is large and the relaxation area, the fireplace room of unique generosity. Just beautiful. The restaurant with good cuisine and wine list, which may still have some air. What really matters is the always very friendly staff. All and everywhere. We felt completely comfortable.

We had booked the large apartment at the hotel. The reception was a bit cool and icy. At the entrance there is no indication of the reception and you have to torment yourself through a crowd to watch the pictures from Jens Weißflog's youth. In the apartment no bottle of water for free (at about 200 euros per night) Instant cafe lay there and the bathroom very large, but floor and walls provided with a screed color in dark gray, as well as a shower that was bricked up almost all around except the entrance. in there not even a shelf for shampoo. This room has a chilling effect on me. In the restaurant we were pretty much put you next to other people, so you could not talk to your partner undisturbed. On the first night I had sour loaf, which I was looking forward to, but until it was on the table it was cold. We then drove the remaining days to Bozi Dar for dinner , which was quite great for us. When asked if there was a bar in the house it was no, but you could still have a drink in the restaurant. This is unusual for such a four-star house, especially since the restaurant will close soon and will be stocked for breakfast. If you want to get to know the boss in person, you have to pay , be it for coffee and cake , or on hikes. We had been there through a TV report, but there was a lot of embellishment and exaggeration.

We stayed for a total of 4 people for 4 nights in the hotel. We booked 2 suites which were really big to huge. The rooms are all cut differently with one suite being about 45 sqm and the other determining 70. The rooms themselves are quite nicely decorated and always very clean. It's not the absolute luxury room now. Very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and a Common room/area. The bathroom in one suite was really big and very new, in the other rather small with shower tray and already a few days older. Who nu arrives with the Background Spending a nice time in a luxury room will be a bit disappointed depending on the situation. For us it was more than good for our purpose (bike holiday). Very nice is also the wellness area. Very well laid out in a sepperate building with a fantastic view. Unobstructed over meadows to the village with the mountain Klinovic in the background. The icing on the cake would still be an infinity pool here. It would give the hotel a unique selling point. I know that pools involve a lot of work and costs, but if you increase the rooms by 20 euros a day (the prices are very cheap anyway) you can finance a pool well and would look really good on the hotel in the location. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were really very good. Again, not at the level of a luxury hotel, but for the category where the hotel wants to be, definitely better than many other hotels. Overall, the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The prices in the hotel and for the hotel were more than reasonable in our view, and the good Jensemann even from time to time, and not only rests on his laurels, but is a star who has stayed on the carpet. Overall a really great hotel for a great price. We will come back again. For me 4.5 out of 5 points
