Review for the Mercure Hotel Wiesbaden City. Overall, I had a mixed impression of my stay. Particularly noteworthy is the very friendly, accommodating, and attentive staff. Both at the reception and in other areas of the hotel, one was always treated politely and professionally. The general atmosphere in the hotel is also pleasant and contributes to a fundamentally relaxing stay. Unfortunately, the rooms now show significant signs of wear and tear. Additionally, cleanliness in some areas left much to be desired. While the obvious surfaces appeared clean, there was a noticeable accumulation of dust and dirt above the bed on the picture frame and on the coat rack. These areas seem to have not been thoroughly cleaned for quite some time. In contrast, the wellness area was in a tidy and clean condition and offers a good opportunity for relaxation. However, the breakfast did not meet expectations given the price of €24. The offering is more akin to a simple standard breakfast and is already priced in the upper segment. It is worth mentioning that the breakfast staff was very dedicated and continuously ensured that missing food and drinks were replenished promptly. I found the breakfast atmosphere less successful. The dining room appears relatively dark and uninviting. Moreover, the paths between the individual buffet stations are quite narrow, leading to significant crowding and bottlenecks among guests, especially during peak times. Conclusion: A hotel with very friendly staff, a pleasant overall atmosphere, and a tidy wellness area. However, there is still significant potential for improvement in room maintenance, thoroughness of cleaning, and the value for money of the breakfast. Good Location - Good Hotel Standard - Poor Front Desk Service

I booked two rooms there for two nights. My credit card (CHF) has been deposited as a deposit. On departure, my credit card was suddenly not accepted for payment, although there was enough cover on it. ICh then paid with a German credit card (EUR). I received an invoice and a payment confirmation at the reception. 10 days after my departure, the hotel will attempt to debit my CHF account even though the card was not accepted at first. Answer from the hotel reception, I should wait another 2 to 3 days. Follow I can't dispose of the amount they want to debit. INCONCEIVABLE
