Altstadthotel Wienecke

A super clean, well maintained and beautiful room. Very friendly staff. We stayed at this hotel for my wife's birthday and were very pleased. In the afternoon we got plates, cups and good coffee for free to eat the cake our children brought with them. Breakfast the next morning was very good. There was nothing missing. The hotel is very central. The value for money is super good. We will definitely come back.

First, the positives: The location is perfect, the staff is extremely friendly and it is clean. But that's about it. The furniture is obviously ancient, the chair upholstery is threadbare and the blinds are falling apart. The bathroom is tiny. Everything is there, but when you brush your teeth you literally have your back against the wall. It's better not to hang a wet towel on the towel rack. It could fall off along with the rack. The breakfast is definitely not worth the €19.00 they charge for it and reheated rolls from the day before on a Saturday are a no-no.

Great location in the downtown area, friendly host, rooms offer all needs, fast wifi, Breakfast with a good choice. On request bicycles for rent. Easy run in the Braunschweig area. A lot of green and signed bike trails. Oct and Aug 2021 stay
