Mercure Atrium Braunschweig

I stayed from May 30 to June 2, booking and paying in advance for two double rooms. As soon as they handed me the keys and I opened the door, an unpleasant smell of sewage came from the bathroom entrance. We called and they brought us a spray to eliminate the odor and advised us to air it out; additionally, I hear a noise coming from the air conditioning vent and I pointed it out the next morning at the reception, stating that I could not sleep because of that noise. I asked to change rooms or to call a technician, but I was told that they were fully booked and that the technician is only available from Monday to Friday... my room is 415. I went to my daughters in room 419; the same smell but to a lesser extent and the same noise... in the morning we went to have breakfast late, around ten, after having notified the reception in advance and since it was open until 11, there was practically nothing... no cold cuts, no bacon, an orange juice that I threw away, no croissants or pastries, just bread and jam. In short, the cocoa cream like Nutella was also finished. A disgrace!

Very well run hotel in a central location. A hot director who is very appreciative of his employees. Rooms should be renovated. Sauna and gym are great

We arrived by train, and were in the hotel in a few minutes. Friendly welcome and quick check-in, nice room. Delicious breakfast. Nice entrance hall.
