Moin! Hotel Cuxhaven

After 3 years, we drove to Cuxhaven again for a long weekend and checked into the Moin Hotel once more. The problem started right at the front desk: the promised room was not available at first. The nice lady, who probably knew as much about the hotel industry as I did, then conjured up a room after a long time, albeit with small windows on the 2nd floor. Otherwise, they have cut pretty much all the pleasant things in recent years. Bicycle rental is no longer available, the restaurant is closed, and the nice, cozy bar is also closed. This is where we always used to wind down after a tiring day. There is now a refrigerator with drinks in the lobby like in a 2-star hotel. In the afternoon, there is free coffee in the lobby from 2-4 p.m., but by 3 p.m. there were no clean dishes left! We couldn't ask anyone - the reception was deserted... When asked why all these changes were made, the standard answer came promptly: "no staff." Let's just believe it. The fact is that something or other must have changed in the management level. Whether that has anything to do with these deteriorations, however, remains to be seen. The breakfast is still good, but the carpet in the rather cramped room is covered in stains. Conclusion: 2.5 stars - in our opinion, it is no longer a 4-star standard; we will stay in Duhnen in the future.

The reception staff and presumably the hotel management are deeply dishonest people. Their actions and behavior are inhumane.
