Best Western Residenz Hotel Harzhoehe

Food takes a lot of getting used to and was presented badly. Where the stars come in the review is a mystery to me. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

A special 5-star highlight is appropriate for the extremely friendly kitchen and service team in the dining room. Otherwise, the hotel is more like "The hotel has unfortunately had its best years" and the sometimes exuberant 5 star overall ratings are not comprehensible. The (partially worn) orange carpeting in the hallway and room takes you back in time to the 1970s. Worse, however, is that with -5 outside temperature in early February, the rooms did not warm up. Conversations at the breakfast table with other guests confirmed that this is probably often the case. Otherwise, the rooms were spacious and clean as you might expect from a 3 star hotel However, the drafty hotel lobby did not exactly invite you to stay longer. Likewise, in the soberly seated fireplace bar (without fireplace) was no "feel-good climate". Those who found a tilt-proof chair in the small library were better off. Also, a foosball and a pool table offers only limited opportunity for sporting evening activities. Breakfast and dinner buffet was varied and sufficient. There was also enough space there. Unfortunately you have to leave the dining room at 20:00 and just has only limited alternatives in the house and in the "village" there are no alternatives. The swimming pool, which can only be used for a limited time after display, unfortunately has no relaxation beds and the sauna fees are not exactly inviting. Changes would make sense here, especially on bad weather days. Unfortunately, we had 4 days of dense high fog and were therefore more likely to travel in the region. Worth mentioning is the good parking on site. At least in cold temperatures, you should weigh up whether the AI offer really fits in the total.

I have never ever had such a bad experience with my family, maybe it's just because we didn't do anything, but still it is a very bad hotel. the service is very bad and the staff are very rude to me and they didn't care at all. 1/10 doodoo.i would like to say that i do NOT recommend this horrific piece of doodoo.
