Mercure Walsrode Lueneburger Heide

We were greeted by an extremely rude, almost hostile, woman at the reception. She told us that we had to pay 50 euros more for the room, because we had a dog with us or the dog would have to sleep in the car. Online it says that a dog costs 18 euros. Thankfully we had not booked a room beforehand and we left.

The hotel is a little worn out. The staff is super good. Breakfast should be consumed at another hotel 2 min walk from the hotel. The room was fine clean and had what one needed. .....................................................

Nice and clean room. Great dinner and impressive breakfast buffet. Friendly smiling and helpful staff in both reception and restaurant. We had 2 nights in connection with a visit to the bird park and here the hotel has a perfect location in relation to this park
