Hotel Villa Subklew

No villa feeling, more like a youth hostel, smell musty and old

Villa Subklew in Sellin is a real gem! The hotel is perfectly located – a few steps from the beach and the pier. The rooms are lovingly decorated, very clean and offer a pleasantly quiet atmosphere. Breakfast is fresh, varied and prepared with a lot of heart. Of particular note is the friendly team, which takes care of the guests at all times. An ideal place for relaxing days on Rügen – highly recommended!

We stayed in Villa Subklew only one night. It is ok but considering a price I expected something more. The ladies working there were very nice, the gentleman never smiled and I didn't find him very helpfull-just a kind who answers "yes or no" most of the times. The room was like in the pictures-quite small. Breakfast was only continental but very tasty-especially bread. It was no fridge in the room and I couldn't keep anything in their fridge either, which I found odd since I work in an English hotel and we keep guests stuff in our fridges all the time. It is not a big deal but if you are travelling with a toddler( and special food for them) it can be difficult.Maybe German law is more strict??Check out was at 11 and we were leaving in the evening. They let us keep our car in their parking but there is no luggage room, so all the stuff had to be in the car.It didn't feel safe but there was no problems at the end.Island itself is beautiful and there is plenty of reasonably priced restaurants around.
