Romantik Roewers Privathotel

The Roewers is an exclusive, family-run wellness hotel with first-class, personalized service. The hotel consists of five lovingly restored white villas in the classic resort architecture style, which are situated in the middle of a quiet park/garden. We felt very comfortable during our stay. The offered transfer to and from Binz was also problem-free and very pleasant.

Overall, we felt very comfortable in this beautiful establishment. I would have liked to give the full score as well, but: We asked for a shuttle to the Bergen train station on the evening before our departure. The not very friendly answer was that the hotel only offers a shuttle to Binz (it is only a few kilometers difference). Following that, we asked them to order a taxi for us for the transfer to the train station. It was also waiting punctually in front of the hotel the next morning. Unfortunately, however, that was a limousine service with a fancy atmosphere. So far so good. After 25 minutes, we then arrived in Bergen. The bill for this ride was a whopping €110.00!! I assume that the hotel staff knows these customs and we should have been informed about it! That was unfortunately a very bad last impression. That also prompts me to address further points. Unfortunately, the spa area on the roof terrace is not clearly and distinctly marked as an adults-only area. There were teenagers and children on site, which is naturally disruptive. The question arises for me at all why the spa area is designed to be so child-friendly. One finds little peace. That does not really go together. In the indoor pool, the massage jets and other functions were not working. In the beautiful rooms, there is a high-quality carpet. One can certainly ask the question why dogs are allowed in the hotel (by the way, I had a dog myself for years). The bathroom was small compared to the room and had seen better days. You could not fall over on the balcony; it is too small for that. The friendliness of the staff is also quite volatile. We must explicitly praise the ladies and gentlemen in the breakfast area. That is really fun. At the reception, the variance is a little greater. The housekeeping staff should also be highlighted and works very cleanly. The breakfast is very appealing. All in all, the positive fortunately outweighs the negative, but there are unfortunately still a few things to tweak.

Probably the best restaurant in Sellin at the moment and probably the only one with fresh and homemade dishes, such as handmade pasta. A good selection of dishes is always ensured. The champagne and also the crémant currently offered openly should be replaced with something drinkable. Pepper shakers should generally be replaced with pepper mills, and the quality of the pepper should also be improved. It is a pity that dogs are only tolerated on the terrace.
