Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property. The good - decent location, close to restaurants and the Christmas markets and the beds were relatively comfortable. The not-so-good - everything else. The place seems very worn down, not welcoming, and lacking quality. Our standard double room was obviously very lived in. The bathroom basin leaked onto the floor when in use. The carpet was shaggy and long, leaving us to wonder how clean it could be. I would consider other properties if available to you.

I have stayed at this hotel five times this year for three days each. It is centrally located within the Cologne Rings. The area is known for its numerous offices, shops and restaurants as well as the lively nightlife around Friesenplatz and Rudolfplatz. It is located in a side street of the main arteries (ring roads) and thus offers good connections with a relatively quiet location. The Friesenplatz light rail stop is just a few minutes' walk away and offers excellent connections to Cologne Central Station and other parts of the city. The rooms are modern and very clean. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked.

I’m being generous with my review. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It’s located in a trendy area with plenty of restaurants and shopping. It’s about a 5 min walk from a train station. The room I got was pretty small but it served. It was a little tedious having to hand over the key to the front desk every time we left. The biggest issue I had with this hotel was the WiFi. It was incredibly spotty. The setup was complicated as well. You needed the TV and a QR code but the TV j had didn’t work. The front desk gave me the password but even then the internet was non existent. It only seemed to work in the lobby. Nevertheless, it’s a good hotel.
