Hotel im Wasserturm

A really beautiful and unique hotel with a great rooftop bar and a wonderful breakfast. We would love to come back. However, what you should know: there is no check-in before 3:00 PM - no matter how much earlier you arrive - even if it is 2:50 PM. You are not checked in until 3:00 PM. The lady at the front desk was very assertive. That could have been communicated more nicely, but otherwise everything was wonderful.

We had the hotel of old in good memory. Unfortunately, this has changed a lot due to the change of ownership. Of course, the equipment and the location remained equally good, but the service is extremely poor, the waiting time at the reception immense, the elevators (2!) a disaster, breakfast very expensive, price/performance ratio overall very, very poor. We had the comparison to a Mariott hotel the days before : cheaper, friendlier, more straightforward, much better. We're not coming back.

My husband and I arrived about four hours early, expecting to just leave our luggage and check in at the regular time – however the front desk team member had a room available and allowed us to check in early, which really made us feel special. And at checkout, we found out that the breakfast was complementary based on our Hilton status. It was a wonderful visit and thank you to the staff for making us feel so special.
