Hotel LING BAO

Wow. This hotel is absolutely stunning. The theming here is some of the best I've seen at a theme park hotel. It truly is beautiful. The rooms are clean, the hotel smells lovely, the music playing is relaxing. It's the perfect place to touch down after a long travel day. The staff on the desk did not seem to really want to be there though, the front desk was a little bit of a let down, we wasn't really greeted with a smile each time we spoke to them. The staff at the restaurant however were always so kind and helpful. The food options at Bamboo were a little lacking when it came to vegans however...I did a lot of research and saw from a few youtube videos that there were a lot of vegan options so we decided to give it a go. For 45Euros each, it wasn't worth it. For an asian inspired buffet we had no noodle option which was very dissappoting. We had one full plate and half of that plate was chips just to fill us up. There is also a whole side full of desserts and none of them we could eat. The second day we ordered room service and the food was incredible! We had the asian sandwich and the curry and they were both delicious so that made up for the hotel food. We had some of the best nights sleep we've ever had at a hotel, the beds were so comfortable, overall our stay was very good. The pool and spa area was also much needed after days on park.

This hotel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. I did 2 nights with my 13 and 14 year old. The feel to the hotel is very relaxing and chilled. Perfect location. Room gorgeous. We looked onto the road which is very noisy but with the windows shut you csnnot hear it. Breakfast was a good choice. Theming of the hotel is fantastic. Staff we spoke to were all amazing. If I had to find any negatives I can only find a few minor ones. The room was very warm and the AC did not really do anything. The changing area by the pool is not good. It needs to be bigger. A fridge in the room would be a big bonus. A vending machine would be useful as no shop in easy reach. I was so sad leaving here as we had such a good time. Would love to return one day. 🙂

About 2 times a year I go to Phantasialand with the children, including an overnight stay. So far I have never written a review, but I am going to do that now. The hotel is, on the whole, very good. I just like the Asian touch. The rooms are unfortunately starting to show their age despite the alert cleaning team. Leaky showers, broken air conditioning units. Parking spaces in the underground garage are too small for today's cars; sometimes there are very extreme odors in the underground garage and restrooms. The evening buffet in the restaurant is very good, perhaps a bit expensive but very diverse; sometimes the service staff reaches their limits here as well. Unclean tables, sticky floors, the chairs are so heavy that children can barely move them. Negative: - Breakfast! Annoyed service staff, poor handling of restocking (no water available for 15 minutes... had to ask 3 times). One cook for scrambled eggs, you end up waiting for 20 minutes. Coffee machines partially broken. - Bar: Service is extremely slow and very unfriendly. Was ignored for 15 min. And again, too little staff. How is one person supposed to serve the entire room. They are only details, but these very details have been increasing in recent years.
