This time we stayed as a couple at Hotel Astra. The comfort double room was out to the garden, but unfortunately the sun shone into the room all afternoon. After a short consultation with the reception we were given another room overlooking the parking lot. The service and prompt response to our "complaint" were 1a. The room was quiet and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was small but renovated and quite sufficient. Breakfast was very good again and we/I will definitely come back.

The comfort single room is well equipped. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom with a floor-level shower is clean and new. Very friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast room is large and friendly. The breakfast for 11 euros is quite good, the eggs could be a bit warmer. Within walking distance of the Düsseldorf University Hospital. Two grocery stores in the immediate vicinity. I would recommend the hotel at any time and book it again.

The good: - Very clean. - Next to a chain grocery store. The bad: - They say reception is open 24/7 on their website but they close at 10 or even 9 pm. So they lie. - The staff was very cold and not smiling at all. Internet was horrible always disconnected. - Far from downtown. - You have to go to reception every time you need a cup of hot water! Just a small coffee machine in reception operated by themselves. So no hot water after 9 pm! - Expensive for little service! - They did not answer any of the emails I sent for booking and other stuff. Always had to call them 🙄 - The vending machine worked only with coins! But it's a weird German thing I think that they are still living in 1990s doing business with coins!
