Motel One Dusseldorf-Hauptbahnhof

Company booking with 7 rooms: there is now NO collective bill, i.e. I paid for EVERY room INDIVIDUALLY (7 !!! Payment transactions by credit card)! And there are SEVEN INDIVIDUAL BILLS due at check-in. You don't get the invoices yet, it would be too easy! The invoices will not be available until the next morning when you check out. Who comes up with that? Who buys such a billing and booking system? I just scratch other points here: eternally slow reply by mail; unclear website/customer account etc.

This hotel is located in the Tokyo district of Dusseldorf near the train station. Although it calls itself a design hotel, that can only be seen in the lounge / breakfast room. The rooms are very basic and small. No coffee / tea facilities which could have been available for that price. Good beds. Small but good shower. The standard beds are quite small. We had booked a king size bed but got the wrong room with standard bed. That was solved immediately. Book mainly through their own site then you get a 10% discount and some extras. Breakfast is very extensive , good and staff very friendly and helpful. It is about 25 minutes walk to Altstad but the metro is nearby.

As a regular visitor to Motel One hotels familiar with the setup: small, comfortable room, excellent bed, nice shower room. Friendly staff, friendly staff. This is located in the Japanese Quarter (so great food within walking distance) and 10 min from the Kö and 15 min from Altstadt and Rhine-boulevard. There is a parking garage, but reservations are not possible. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. The lounge/breakfast room of this MO is less atmospheric than average. By now it has become a pricey chain.
