Heiner's Parkhotel

Unfortunately, there is no internet reception on the TV and no connection options for external devices. The receptionist does not respond to inquiries regarding this (or is overwhelmed). (Room 308 on May 21, 2026)

We were there for an opera visit to the musical theatre in the precinct and felt in good hands in this hotel and also in the restaurant. The rooms are very nicely decorated, the bed is a dream, the bathroom was large, clean and spacious. The hotel is right next to a railway line that is only served by freight trains and my room was so close to this railway line that I thought the trains were going straight through my room. Didn't bother me personally because I grew up next to a railway line. For whoever it bothers, earplugs are ready. The staff, especially in the restaurant/bar, were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious! A tip for all visitors to the hotel: You can visit the North Star Tower 100 metres away on weekends. A mining museum and landmark of Ruhr mining. There is a permanent exhibition on mining on several floors, which is really worth seeing.
