Carat Hotel Duesseldorf Gmbh

We stayed here as part of a family trip, booking five rooms for 9 people, for six nights. The location is ideal for it's accessibility to the Altstadt, Carlsplatz Market, Königsalle as well as various options for transportation around the area. But the challenge with this location is staying during the weekends, it can get loud and noisy and not just at night after the bars let out, but also in the early mornings with street sweepers and delivery trucks coming through to get ready for the market to open. The breakfast offerings each day were fabulous! Everyone in my group raved about the variety offered, the fresh squeezed orange juice, and the great coffee. The bar is nice for a quick beer or a simple drink, but it is only attended by the front desk staff who may or may not know how to prepare drinks depending upon who is working at the time. Better to go out to one of the many bars closeby. The rooms are nicely done, comfortable and spacious enough, our only real challenge was staying here during the first heat wave of this summer (May 2026) They were still in the process of updating the hotel with AC but had not yet completed the project before our stay, so it was almost unbearable the last few nights, only to have fans placed in three of our five rooms (one didn't work) the night before we checked out. The front desk staff is hit or miss as well, not the friendliest or the most helpful, but there was one gentleman who was a dream to work with I believe his name was José. He was incredibly helpful and cheerful and always eager to offer suggestions for sights to see or events to attend. We all loved him!

Anyone looking to visit Düsseldorf for a short trip is exactly right here. The hotel impresses especially with its excellent location – the city center and many attractions are easily reachable on foot. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. The selection is diverse and offers something suitable for every taste. Overall, a clear recommendation for a city trip to Düsseldorf.

Smooth check in and parking next to hotel. Correct clean quiet room. Breakfast with joghurt, granules and lots of fruit. Especially Mr Sugradirk who did service excellently & with good humour.
