Rheingoldhotel

We stayed here for 1 night. Room was clean and modern furnishings. Beds slept wonderfully and the shower was also good! Well you are in the middle of the city and that includes some night noise (we were on the city side) but with the windows closed fine to do. However, the rooms do not have air conditioning and will therefore be unsuitable in the summer months.

The word gold after Rhein, they will better change into can! Because it will never be gold. Really what a bad hotel. The girl who was there before 3:00 p.m. I don't think she was 15 years old. During check-in a lousy guy and during check-out another more lousy guy. The cleaning lady already had a mouth that was on thunderstorms. Small room with only a kettle. The thermostat of the heater was faulty, and so had to sleep through the heat with the windows open. And the noise of the street was unbearable. € 168.75 for 1 night without breakfast. Just never do. Terrible. What a pickpocket. Yah!

What can you say about this establishment? A complete disaster and a disgrace. The place stinks in the truest sense of the word. The room was run down, unkempt and uncleaned. The bathroom was a disease-free zone and we even went into the shower wearing flip-flops. Dirt and filth everywhere. Broken lamps and sockets. There was still rubbish from the previous occupant in the closet, which then contained two cheap coat hangers. No hygiene products in the bathroom. No glasses and mould on the ceiling and in the corners. It hasn't been cleaned properly for years. The staff, all of whom are of Russian descent, are unfriendly, unmotivated and overwhelmed. Questions are either not answered or are answered rudely. When we wanted to check in, the room was not ready as promised and we had to wait another hour. When we asked to check out half an hour later, this was categorically refused because they had to clean. A joke. The hotel is a case for the health department. Complaints are answered immediately with a threatening undertone. In addition, there is the constant street and construction noise, which continues even in the evenings. We complained to all the relevant authorities. This kind of place should be closed. An outrage in every respect. Never again. Luckily, we stayed in another hotel that was just as expensive, but where service and hospitality were very important. Stay away from this place!!!
