Villa Ratingen

Didn't stay at the hotel but went to the restaurant for dinner with colleagues. The restaurant is located outside the city in a fairly quiet are only a few kilometers from the highway. The manager is quite friendly, speaks several languages and likes to play the more extravagant Italian waiter, which is entertaining. The young waitress we had was quite the opposite... I don't think I saw as much as half a smile on her face the entire evening. Food is ok and service is rapid, but don't expect high end Italian cuisine or you will be disappointed. Prices are also in line with what you'd expect form a German Italian.

This is a review for the restaurant, not the hotel. They make their own pasta, and it's always fantastic. I usually go for the 3 pasta sampler, so I can try 3 dishes at once. They let you choose your own combo from the menu, or they can surprise you. Cheery fast service, generous servings, and a small terrace outside for enjoying the sun. They do takeaway too.

Its a nice hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights. The rooms are large and the beds are really comfortable. Within 20 minutes your in the City centre of Düsseldorf by bus. Breakfast was oke. Just one small thing: The room did smell a bit funny. But it was easily resolved by opening a window. Overall a nice stay.
