It was an absolute disaster! The towels were dirty and the bathroom was just indescribably disgusting. The room smelled very strong; perhaps the air conditioning filter should be cleaned. Four stars – 3.

After staying in the Kranz Parkhotel on numerous occasions, today, the day before my last stay, I had the bad idea to ask for a bottle of water, which - I was informed at the reception - is offered in quantities of one bottle per person and per stay. Tonight, if I am thirsty, I will have to pay. This was confirmed to me by the Director of the Kranz Parkhotel, who also explained to me that these are the "instructions" of Mr. Kranz, the owner of the hotel. I offer to the reader a simple consideration. If, as Director of the Hotel, I knew that a long-time customer like me kindly asks for a second bottle of water for the second day of the stay, I would pay for the bottle myself (against Mr. Kranz's rules) so as not to risk that for 5 euros (the cost of a bottle of water) Mr. Kranz will lose the next 300 € that I will pay to the hotel I will book for my next stay in Siegburg-Bonn. I am surprised that this simple algebraic equation (5 € against 300 €) is not part of the basic knowledge to be profitable in the hospitality business.

The hotel is really beautiful, great clean modernly designed rooms. Nice staff, great breakfast selection. The outdoor bar could be designed to be cozier and more modern. However, the cocktails were very delicious.
