Adelheid Hotel Garni

Very chic, small hotel in a central location; with direct parking ($10); cozy, renovated rooms; extensive breakfast; very accommodating hosts... everything is great, there is nothing to complain about.

This small hotel in the center of the medieval town Quedlinburg is a gem! This is a small hotel in a recently renovated ancient merchant's house, there is no reception or restaurant but a breakfast buffet is served. There is private parking in the inner yard, the places cannot be reserved but there is usually ample space. Check-in is genially simple: on arrival I called the hotel telephone, a friendly voice (Master of the house?) answered and steered us by phone to a lock-box with keys and gave some other info before leaving us in peace to occupy the room. The rooms are of varied size and form which a natural for a house almost 400 years of age. The furnishings are sparse, the the room could to with a bigger table but space is at premium. The last renovation was completed 2009, thus everything is practically new. Sleep quality was very good and the radiator reacted quickly to adjustment. I do not think there is air-conditioning, but to build that system in this kind of a house would be a sacrilege! There are opening windows ... The breakfast buffet was excellent, all very nicely put out and tasty. The lady (of the house?) overseeing the breakfast was friendly and attentive. The only point I would like add is: there are a lot of steep stairs in the building! The rooms are on floors 2 and 3 from the street level. Do no choose this hotel if you are handicapped.

A small, very fine, familiar city hotel in the heart of Quedlinburg, which perfectly represents the special atmosphere of the city. The location is very central, the rooms are new and tastefully decorated and very clean (the seersucker bedding is awesome, great shower, table with seating, shelves - everything wonderful), at breakfast I did not miss anything and the host couple was very warm and accommodating and there were also great excursion tips on top. I recommend the Hotel Adelheid without restriction and will definitely come back. Thank you for the perfect stay!
