Best Western Plus Bautzen

On 6.3.2026 I found this hotel on booking.com for my wife. To be nice to the hotel I decided to book directly through the hotel by phone. When she arrived a few hours later to check in, they quoted her a price higher than booking.com. However, the receptionist claimed it was not possible to adjust the price. Management needs to empower their receptionists to not make guests furious over such a simple matter. They could have at least not charged for parking or some other gesture of good will. Obviously, stay somewhere where they are more flexible than Best Western or just use booking.com.

This hotel is located directly at the Reichenturm and Kornmarkt. One is immediately in the historic center of Bautzen. The hotel offers a large parking space which is opened or closed with the room card. Rooms are solidly large and decorated. The layout and bathrooms are new. Unfortunately, the rooms have no air conditioning, which was problematic during our stay at 34°C. We tried to sleep with the windows open. The breakfast was very good. Great selection of cold cuts and jams. Also various egg dishes and coffees. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The accommodation price incl. Parking fee and breakfast is consistent. Value for money is great. You'd love to come back.

Good hotel for our transit, right in downtown Bautzen. Very good breakfast with lots of choice, friendly staff Only downside are the very soft pillows in the bed. Bautzen itself is only a dead town in the evening, by German standards everything is closed very early, even the mc donalds in the center closes at 19h00?
