Pentahotel Chemnitz

Even the booking experience left me speechless, as when trying to get the best price directly at the hotel (as everywhere), my eyes nearly popped out of my head: 100 € more expensive than on the usual platforms. The check-in was super friendly, and the kiosk in the lobby leaves nothing to be desired. The room: large and run-down, poorly cleaned, and toilets for dwarfs. But the highlight: Never and nowhere in the world have I been treated more unfriendly than by the breakfast waiter. Everyone in the room spoke about his unkempt and outrageous behavior. Only he alone robs the entire hotel of at least one star! 29€ for a children's breakfast? In the east of the republic? No local family can afford that.

Duly queued up during check-in. Young employee, however, preferred all other guests from the hall as they belonged to one company . The friendly request to let me know when it is the turn of the normal guests was unfortunately forgotten by her. Other guests would probably have left long ago with this appreciation.

The hotel is fine in itself. A typical 4-star hotel in terms of interior decoration of the rooms. Which leads me to this negative evaluation: Just above some rooms on the 4th floor. On the first floor is the fitness area. I stayed in room 439 during my stay. The treadmill in the gym was right above my head. On the second day of my two-day stay, early risers started walking on the treadmill from about 5 am, which, when you are right underneath, sounds like someone is trampling on your head. -> 3 hours less sleep than planned and than necessary before a long working day. Dear C/o 56 team: Possibly lock the gym or at least the treadmill between 4 and 8 am, as obviously some hotel guests are not able to consider that such a treadmill is quite noisy?
