Brilliant hotel was like a breath of fresh air. Situated at a very convenient location for the tram stop (no 4) or the bus (no 64). Seating indoors and outside for the restaurant or for breakfast . Very quiet and peaceful overnight so we had a good sleep. (could have used an extra pillow though).
The hotel was clean and tidy, well presented and had lifts and amenities for the less able and baby changing / high chairs etc.
Well laid out room and well supplied. No air-con but we did have a stand-up fan which worked well during the heat wave. Ample storage for luggage and toiletries.
While we enjoyed the hotel, the restaurant needs improvement. The cold breakfast selection was good, but the hot section was poor in comparison. Our only negative was a comment in the restaurant from the waitress. We had decided to eat in the hotel restaurant on the 2nd night of our stay, and sat at an empty table inside. We were greeted by a waitress, whose first comments were not to welcome us, but to ask if we were German, or English? When we said English, we were removed from the table we were now seated at. "This is for German's you must sit on this side" pointing and directing us to the other side of the restaurant. I thought the war was over, but clearly not. Segregation by race is still evident in Germany.
We did move, we did not start an argument within the restaurant while others were having a meal. The meals provided were very good, but understandably we did NOT want to leave a tip. However, even with hostile service i found a 5% tip had already been included in the bill.
While the hotel and breakfast staff were great, this hotel does not get full marks as it it was let down by the restaurant, a compulsory tip and the attitude of one evening waitress.

We chose it as a support hotel for 3 nights, to see the world exhibition of orchids and we were very comfortable.
The hotel is far from the city centre but is located in a quiet residential area, is welcoming and the staff is friendly and caring, especially given our German language deficit.
The room clean and spacious, with a large enough bathroom.
Breakfast varied, but with plenty of choice of savory and almost nothing sweet, but fresh bread and jam was assured.
Strong point, the proximity to the tram stop, we took it every day, number 4 takes you downtown in about 20 minutes and passes about every 10. For tickets there is a yellow machine at the stop and there are tickets for all needs.

I travelled to the Andante Hotel in Dresden for business in January. The check in went smoothly and the staff was very friendly. The hotel itself is chic and the rooms offer everything you need just like the bathrooms. The TV in my room was a bit small, considering the distance to the bed.
The breakfast buffet was perfect.
Of particular note is that the parking spaces are right next door.
