Hilton Dresden Hotel

Location is excellent. The hotel itself is nice, but interioir is pretty old, including the room that I stayed in. Service was very good. Recommended for business trips.

For our stay in mid-June 2026, we can unfortunately only find two things that we can truly rate positively: the location in close proximity to the Frauenkirche and the service upon arrival and check-in. Here, we would particularly like to highlight the porter who was very helpful with our luggage upon our arrival on June 13, 2026. Unfortunately, we must join the poor reviews of other hotel guests regarding all other "side conditions." In fact, our room also looked somewhat worn, and the same applies to the bathroom. Although the bathtub was replaced with a shower since our last stay and an additional shelf was installed under the sink, it is clearly evident that these were only half-hearted efforts and should rather be classified as repairs. The style of the 90s can be found almost throughout the entire house. Unfortunately, we also missed the usual hotel service in the form of at least one bottle of water in the room. Instead, one has to serve oneself from a provided carafe near the elevator from a vending machine, which is justified more or less with environmental protection. Greenwashing? Our room faced the Münzgasse, and here we must also confirm the impressions of other travelers: despite closed windows, it was very loud until at least 3:00 AM, and similarly during the day. For us, the breakfast was also very unsatisfactory. Having arrived from another hotel, we had a direct comparison, which the Hilton Dresden lost by a wide margin. Not only is there pretty much the same offering every morning, but many products offered here are also recognizable as processed foods. We can only say that the parking conditions at the hotel are "completely overpriced." All in all, we must state that this hotel does not honor the name "Hilton" and does not meet the associated expectations, especially with the high overnight prices, in any way. For our next stay in Dresden, we will likely choose another hotel in the vicinity of the Frauenkirche.

The hotel is located in a central area of Dresden, just a few steps from the Frauenkirche. The reception was polite and efficient. The room was adequately sized, although the furnishings are quite dated. The bathroom offered sufficient space and storage options. We were offered complimentary use of the minibar as an upgrade during check-in. That's nice, but it doesn't help me if some bottles have already been partially consumed by previous guests and are not replaced by room service. The breakfast was very plentiful and of good quality. However, the behavior of some guests was unacceptable. The hotel has a paid underground garage.
