I was a guest at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof Dresden from Sunday until today and unfortunately will not return.
During my stay, temperatures in Dresden reached up to 40 °C. For a 4-star hotel, I find it absolutely incomprehensible that the rooms do not have air conditioning. The room was therefore extremely heated, and restful sleep was hardly possible.
Unfortunately, leaving the windows open at night was not an alternative either. My room faced a heavily trafficked street, so trucks, car enthusiasts, trams, and trains caused enormous noise pollution.
A restful stay was unfortunately not possible under these conditions. Especially for a hotel of this category, I expect at least an adequate cooling option for the rooms or a corresponding notice when booking. For me, the price-performance ratio was therefore not convincing. I will not return.
