The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel convinces with its good location near the main train station – the tram stops right outside the door (only one stop to the train station), but the path is also within easy walking distance. My single room on the first floor facing the street was clean and well maintained. The single room was very small and simply furnished – more functional than cosy. It was located directly at a busy intersection, which made the traffic noise – including trams and trucks – clearly audible even when the window was closed. This significantly impaired the night's sleep. You don't need an alarm clock here, the road noise reliably takes over this task. The decor of the room was functional but without any particular comfort. Apparently all single rooms face the street.

I knew that the hotel was located directly on a busy street with 2 tram lines. Therefore, I had booked a room upgrade and also paid to get the hint of a quiet room. Room was so far ok, you must not forget that it is a 3* hotel as the best year has long since passed. Looking out the window, I looked straight at the busy street and the tram stop. I could not sleep for 3 nights from 4:00 in the morning, despite the window being closed. Breakfast is perfectly ok, there is nothing to complain about. Staff friendly, again everything ok. Overall, I would not stay here anymore, because when I am in Halle, I have work to do and with significantly too little sleep that makes little sense.

The rooms have seen better days. You can clearly hear street noise even with the windows closed. Cleanliness is another matter. And the sleeping comfort left a lot to be desired. It's OK for one night, but otherwise nothing great.
