Goldenes Fass

We had booked two nights in the room “Salon Meissen”. We had a wonderful stay! My husband had ordered a plate of regional delicacies and a bouquet of flowers as a surprise. The plate was very delicious and plentiful. I really liked the bouquet of fresh flowers. We didn't lack anything. The staff were always courteous, friendly and read every wish almost from our lips. The room was super clean and totally cozy. We arrived with two dogs. For these, two wells were available, each with a chewing stick. There were even two blankets for the two fur noses. Breakfast was great! There was everything your heart desired. Local juices, coffee, tea even sparkling wine were available. Fresh rolls, puddings and other treats were served as a buffet. The spa area is very cozy. The herbal chamber was my personal highlight. In summary, I can say it was a great stay and I look forward to the next getaway at this beautiful hotel.

Wellness / spa : 1. Changing for ladies & gentlemen before wellness in the toilets!!! - unbelievable! 2. Unfriendly, rarely appearing receptionist! 3. A !!! hot sauna for only 2 people , outside barrel sauna lukewarm and dirty, jacuzzi outside cold / lukewarm at 5 degrees outside temperature not reasonable. 4. Sauna bags not lockable as only minimal lockers. 5. Dressing after wellness analogously in the toilets - things pack in the general relaxation area - impossible for oneself and all guests.

Small boutique hotel with interesting features, daily changing dinner menu, excellent front desk service and in a good location for tourism. We stayed for 4 nights. Each room is different, and there are a number of variations including apartments. Across the Elbe from old-town Meissen and a short walk down the steep hill and across the bridge. Quiet residential area. Breakfast is standard fare, dinner portions are large, the wine list is Saxony wine with several international selections. The Saxony wines we had were all excellent and inexpensive. Anton, front desk, is extremely helpful with recommendations and assistance, and most of the staff are multi-lingual. There is a hot tub and sauna on premises. There are no elevators for upper floor rooms. The interior courtyard is beautiful, with lots of roses. Several packages are available and should be reviewed as they can be excellent. Free parking for guests. On parking it can be somewhat challenging - one hotel parking area is down a narrow passage (tight for very large vehicles) and the other is in front of the apartments where there are three charging stations; this should not be a deterrent, rather an adventure in travel. Excellent stay.
