Hotel und Cafe Am Markt Residenz

The location in the middle of the enchanting old town, directly opposite the Church of Our Lady, is perfect. All sights are reachable on foot in a few minutes; otherwise, the sightseeing bus also stops right at the market and goes to the top attractions Albrechtsburg/Cathedral and Porcelain Manufactory. The rooms are bright, nicely furnished, and clean. The breakfast is good and plentiful; just a bit more fruit selection could make it even better. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I can absolutely recommend the hotel; a good starting point for a short vacation or city trip to Meissen.

The hotel is very nicely equipped, unfortunately no fridge supposedly too expensive at these hotel prices!?!?! , no swimming pool etc but nevertheless very expensive 160,- the night next to the church which also throws Saturday 7:00 the guests out of bed, Sunday it is later!! As I said Price performance is not right in my eyes Breakfast I.O. Salads were missing completely, fresh fruit salad for cereal, coffee specialties vending machine, fresh scrambled eggs not the one from the package, at least that's what you expect at these room prices, no air conditioning, very, very noisy.
