We were there for 10 days as a family of 4.
Positive things:
There was a good view
There was a lot for children and adults there
The breakfast offered a lot, from bread to who knows what
Negative things:
There were too few elevators for such a large hotel
There were nuts under my bed, from wherever they came
Cleaning itself was not that great
otherwise 3/5

Never again!
Two associated swimming pools closed, indoor pool and outdoor pool. No apology, no discount, no information at the time of booking. Simply outrageous, I suppose that's normal these days.
Reception staff annoyed by questions and gave snappy answers. 3 elevators always overcrowded at peak times.
Associated restaurants sometimes without access control, you can just walk through as a stranger and have breakfast or dinner. No need to book half or full board, just walk in and eat delicious food.
We fools booked everything.
Promenade completely cordoned off with construction fencing. Also not mentioned.
In my life, never again !!!
Have fun

We spent a week at the Ostsee-Resort Damp in a family suite with a sea view. We particularly liked the great location right on the Baltic Sea, the beautiful view, the large and clean family suite, as well as the lovely design of the hotel and the themed floors. However, our room was on the side where the shops were supplied every morning; it was so loud that my night's sleep was over at 5 a.m. Not particularly relaxing.
For such a large resort, I would have liked more shopping options; there was only one Edeka that was outrageously overpriced, everything else was just souvenirs or clothing stores, and I think there were only 2 shops in total, a bit meager.
What also made me a bit skeptical was that there were also rehab therapies in the hotel; the hotel is not actually described that way on their website, and in my opinion, it does not fit into a family hotel.
It is worth mentioning positively that the entire staff, whether in the restaurants, hotel, indoor playground, or adventure pool, were always friendly and helpful.
We see room for improvement with the elevators. For such a large hotel, three elevators are simply too few, and they were also quite small, which constantly leads to longer wait times.
The bathroom didn't quite convince us either: The sinks were quite low. Because of the open shower, the floor always got very wet. The towels didn't have any hooks, so I had to somehow fumble them over the coat hooks. In the separate toilet, there wasn't even a hook.
The breakfast was good, but the dinner buffet didn't quite meet our expectations. For the size of the hotel, the selection was rather limited and often repeated itself. Especially on the Baltic Sea, we would have liked more fish dishes and somewhat more varied side dishes. The children's offerings could also be a bit more diverse.
The free parking lot is a plus, but it is located relatively far from the hotel (10-15 minutes on foot) and is mainly easily accessible by shuttle bus.
We would also like to highlight that the resort is very dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome and receive a dog bed and a bowl. There is also a dog beach in the immediate vicinity.
The resort is particularly well-suited for families with smaller children. Those who are looking for more peace and quiet or are traveling with older children will probably be better off with a vacation home or a vacation apartment.
Conclusion: We had a nice room and a great ocean view, which I will miss.
We probably wouldn't go there again.
