Nice hotel in a super nice location on the big pond of Altenburg. Also the worth seeing city center of Altenburg including the Brothers' Church, the Residence Palace including the castle park and the old tea house are within walking distance. The hotel itself is in a good condition for its old and is gradually being made fit for the future. The cleanliness was given in all matters. The rooms themselves are nice and large, especially the bathroom was a real eye-catcher. The breakfast you can book is also great and leaves nothing to be desired. Great recommendation from us is the Ristorante Da Angelo where Italian cuisine in perfection and super cocktails are waiting for you. Of course, Altenburg beer is also provided, as it should be. In the bathroom with us in room 105 only the shower head has noticed which you could like to renew, We also wanted to note this on departure but the reception was not staffed. Also the immediately opposite island zoo and the Capitol cinema are a must for big and small. ACTIVITIES

A very well located hotel. A few minutes walk from the bus and directly on the lake. The rooms are very large and offer plenty of space. The bathroom is also large. The staff is absolutely top, helpful and very friendly. Breakfast leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. The accompanying Italian restaurant is highly recommended. A definite recommendation

Great location right on the lake in a historically valuable building. The rooms are very old but clean. The equipment falls far behind compared to other hotels in the price range. The hotel is extremely noisy and you can hear every step, every rolling suitcase, every conversation in the hallway in the room. You can't do that. The attached restaurant and overall the staff are great. All in all, I can not recommend the hotel.
