Ibis Hotel Eisenach

Very disappointed with this hotel. We asked for a room on the ground floor, but although the hotel was far from fully booked, we had to (My husband 80 years and I 70) dragging our suitcases over the stairwell ... The room was not very clean (cobweb around the window, silverfish in the bathroom...)Dark, rotten hallways . Wifi did not arrive in our room. Never again! Only the breakfast was plentiful and good.

The quality in the Ibis has dropped in recent years, however this still keeps well, helpful and English speaking staff, good room, still good breakfast, although years ago it was better, very quiet and good base god departure to explore the area

It was my first time in an Ibis hotel and we were passing through to a conference. My expectations were exceeded by far. I have rarely been welcomed so warmly with my partner and dog. The lady at the reception was incredibly nice and helpful. In a conversation she gave us additional information about the region and answered questions that we had on our way there. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was new. Since we are travelling with a dog, we even had a special dog room not far from the exit (to the back on the lawn). The dog was welcome and was allowed into the breakfast room in the morning (in the furthest corner, of course, so as not to disturb anyone). Speaking of breakfast: very tasty, a large selection of dishes, regional sausage from the butcher, fresh fruit, delicious juices... something for everyone. Topped off by another nice lady who ensured a relaxed atmosphere and order. So in summary: I will be back and I am delighted. I can understand the criticism of the old floors, unpainted walls, etc., but that's not what matters to me. I was just passing through and I didn't lack anything, quite the opposite.
