Golden Tulip Accra

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Lancaster Hotel. I have been a loyal customer of the pool area for many years, dating back to when it operated as the Golden Tulip, but the decline in standards is now impossible to ignore and regrettably, I will not be returning. The level of customer service has deteriorated significantly, several staff members were openly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, showing little regard for guest experience. This is a stark contrast to the high standards the hotel once upheld. Even more concerning was the complete lack of attention to safety at the pool. The lifeguard spent most of his time on his phone instead of supervising the pool area. With children present, this behaviour is not only negligent but potentially dangerous and entirely unacceptable. To make matters worse, I was asked by a member of staff called Bernard to pay for an ice cream using his personal MoMo account. This is wholly inappropriate and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s internal processes, accountability, and integrity. It is deeply disappointing to see what was once a reputable and trusted establishment fall so far below acceptable standards. Urgent action is needed to address staff conduct, safety procedures, and basic operational practices. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel and, after many years of loyalty, I will not be returning.

“A rotten apple sits in a corner of the kitchen.” you have a very displeasing person at the front desk. She does not belomg there. Otherwise good ecperience overall.

I have been coming to this hotel for about 6 years. Now it has been renovated and a new GM has arrived, very good and professional. Great Service and Staff
