Airotel Parthenon

The hotel is situated in an excellent position. it is practically a corner away from the Acropolis on one side. Apart from the location, rooms are quite comfortable, with good beds and fine bathrooms. The breakfast served there is quite good, with options to satisfy everyone. Great customer care from the staff, who do their best in helping guests in all their needs

This was the most abominable hotel experience we have ever had. For starters, there was an enormous hole in the lobby ceiling with water dripping into buckets beneath. It was the first thing we saw when we walked in. But what came next was our filthy room with beds that looked like they were plucked out of a prison cell. No bed coverings as pictured online, just disheveled sheets with pillows thrown as if this were a dorm room. The bathroom tiles were accented with mold, and the sink and soap dispenser were covered in slimy soap. There were smoke stains on the walls, a hole with cracks in the wall, and torn carpet at every threshold. What was particularly disturbing was the hallway carpets because they were heavily stained with what I do not even want to guess, and the staircase railings had chipping paint at every juncture. We were so distraught with the abhorrent conditions that we needed to find other accommodations immediately. It was 9pm when we arrived, so this was not easy. We are fighting Expedia and Airotel for a full refund, as this hotel was SEVERELY misrepresented on Expedia's and Airotel's websites. Do not book this hotel if hygiene and cleanliness are AT ALL important to you. You will find cigarette butts on the floor, dirty, smoke-stained walls, greasy head marks on the bed headboards, and absolutely disgusting bathrooms. International travelers beware; there's a reason they have a NO refund policy. How can they not?

Location is their top value along with the nice breakfast spread. We were impressed by the variety of the breakfast items including fresh fruits, cereal, baked items, eggs, mushrooms, cheese, etc The hotel rooms are average to below average lacking amenities and design but a clean place to rest at night. The bathroom is small and outdated . We booked 2 rooms one being a triple and they were so nice to accommodate us and place us next to one another. If you are looking for a nice lobby to hang out and gather with your group, this is not the place but if you are seeking a great location in Plaka for night life, easy access to shopping and restaurants, this is it! It is also a 1-2 min walk to the entry to Acropolis / Parthenon.
