Athens Mirabello

During a tour, we stayed there twice. The first time, we had just arrived in Greece. The welcome was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. The second time was the last night of the tour. Unpleasant welcome, we were treated like cattle (we were a group of 43). At mealtime, unpleasant service, one salad bowl of raw vegetables for everyone. We had to fight to get more and it was clearly made understood to us that we had to leave because another group was going to come eat. The positive: comfortable rooms, quiet street, proximity to a large square where there is everything and where the main public transport passes. The negative: the access. You have to climb a very steep staircase to get to the reception desk. Difficult for people who have trouble walking The reception platform is small. You have to stay in the staircase or in the entrance hall when there are many of you. The elevator is tiny: it can only hold one person with a suitcase at a time, two by squeezing in a lot. The environment at the back of the building with abandoned buildings, trash in a small courtyard, which generate bad odors. It is better to have a room facing the street. The staff's behavior. Only use it if you are a small group and you only frequent it to sleep and you are staying for a fairly short stay.

We stayed two nights in this hotel in the center of Athens and everything was OK. Unfortunately, there is no parking, but hopefully we can park not too far, or there is a paid parking nearby. The breakfast was top, there was enough choice, and the staff is very nice and attentive.

Located in the Omonia district, quick access to metro, shops, pharmacy and bakery. Do not hang out late at night and alone as this is a popular area. The hotel is clean, Welcoming staff, room and breakfast smiling and pleasant. Spacious family room, with toilet in SDB. Small terrace. Decent breakfasts. Fridge in the rooms too bad no courtesy tray (kettle for example). Insulation a little borderline, no luck our neighbors were very noisy!
