Athens Zafolia Hotel

This hotel was selected as part of a group tour. It is located near a bus line and near two very good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Rooms were very clean and well appointed as well as quiet for sleeping. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of both “American” and Greek choices. I had drinks in the hotel bar that were both delicious as well as generous. Staff were lovely.

Disappointment, anger, and insecurity regarding belongings in that hotel. I forgot a gray cervical pillow approximately 40x30 after one night in that hotel, and as soon as I left the room, I realized it and called to have them hold it for me, as I would return in three days. They did not understand me, as it is uncertain that they speak languages other than Greek and English. Upon returning, I asked, and no one has seen anything; it vanished from room 322, and since then, there has been no way to find out anything. I have asked several times at the reception, and they never called me to inform me if the actions they promised to take had yielded any results. The person who cleaned that room on 06/10/2026 must have been blind. I spent another 3 days there and feared for my belongings.

Rooms are a good size. Comfortable beds. Location requires public transportation to get to the old town. Breakfast, some days they open but some foods are not available, the orange juice was acceptable. It usually has groups; they should accommodate the teenagers on the same ground floor to avoid disturbing other guests.
