I needed a hotel for one night between flights. I'm so glad I chose this hotel! It is centrally located, very easy to access via public transportation, close to Monastiraki square. The hotel is an older property but appears to be very well maintained and was spotlessly clean. The rooms are small but well furnished. The linen and towels were spotless. My room had a balcony with chairs and table. There are two tiny elevators. The hotel has a rooftop bar (that I didn't try) and a small lounge/business center where they also serve coffee during the day. Nice little touches - disposable slippers in the room, and loukoumi (delicious Greek sweet) at reception. The staff I spoke with were absolutely amazing and welcoming. I had to leave very early in the morning and was able to check out very quickly and got directions to the metro station.

Attalos Hotel, Monastiraki – Summary We stayed here for our 1st and last night on our Intrepid Greece Land Tour, an unbeatable location puts the Acropolis, Plaka, restaurants, markets, the vibrant square, changing of the guards are all within easy walking distance. Clean, comfortable but simple rooms, a generous breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff. The standout feature is the rooftop terrace, which provides spectacular views of the Acropolis, especially at sunset. A perfect base for exploring Athens. Affordable Price.
