Ava Hotel and Suites

Lovely and wonderful hotel in the heart of Plaka. We arrived in Athens after a somewhat disappointing stay at a 4 star hotel in Rome. The Ava Hotel was a breath of fresh air. The hotel staff is pleasant and accommodating. Nothing was too much for them. Air Conditioning in the room was fantastic, something that we didn't experience in Rome. The breakfast was delicious with a large variety of choices. The fresh squeezed peach juice on day one was delicious as was the daily fresh squeezed orange juice. It was nice to have fresh brewed coffee. Vast numbers of restaurants are within walking distance. The Acropolis, the museum and the agora are all very accessible by foot as well. Upon return to Athens, this will be our hotel.

A wonderful hotel in a great location for walking to all the historical sights, shops and restaurants. The bottle of champagne in my room on arrival was very thoughtful and a lovely touch. The staff were delightful and so helpful especially Revekka and Panagiota who made my stay wonderful and very memorable. They organized a driver for me during my stay, Yannis picked me up a few times, he was fabulous and made me feel very safe as a solo traveler. I loved my room on the 4th floor and sitting out on the terrace in the evenings looking up at the Acropolis at sunset. Highly recommended.

Simply amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better location. From our balcony, we had incredible views of the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus—something I'll never forget. Everything was within a 5-minute walk: amazing restaurants, shops, historic sites, and all the sightseeing you could want. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, spotless, and the staff made us feel right at home. We feel incredibly blessed to have had this experience. When we come back to Athens, there's no question, we'll be staying here again. Highly recommend.
