New Aegli

Our stay here was nothing like what was advertised, and it was honestly one disappointment after another. From the moment we arrived, it became clear that the hotel has been neglected for years. The rooms are extremely dated, many of the amenities are broken, and basic maintenance seems to be missing altogether. The shower had almost no water pressure, there was visible mold in the bathroom, and cleanliness was far below what anyone should expect. The "all-inclusive" package is particularly misleading. Instead of offering a wide selection of food and drinks, guests are given a very small menu that barely changes throughout the day. Many beverages and other items still cost extra, making the package feel far from all-inclusive. What surprised us most was how many additional charges there were. Paying extra for towels, receiving only one room key for two guests, and returning to a hot room because the air conditioning switches off every time you leave are all things you simply don't expect when paying premium prices. The common areas were in poor condition as well. Torn furniture in the lobby, massage chairs that were out of service, and an overall atmosphere of neglect made the property feel tired and uncared for. Unfortunately, the staff did little to improve the situation. Requests were met with indifference, and management showed no willingness to address concerns or take guest feedback seriously. This hotel promises far more than it delivers. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday with good service, quality food, and comfortable accommodations, you will likely be disappointed. There are many better places nearby that offer a much better experience for the money.

We had booked a family room which we were confirmed beforehand would be newly renovated. (Email communication beforehand was very unfriendly, and I don’t understand why they don’t try to be more accommodating.) When we arrived, they tried to give us two rooms connected via a balcony, which was out of the question with two children. We then got the family room we had booked. The room can’t have been renovated, as it was already worn, smelled of sewage in the bathroom, and had old grime in every corner. The room was dirty on arrival, and we had to have it cleaned twice more before it was good enough to sleep in. The bathroom is old and has a shower curtain, which results in a soaking wet bathroom. The beach is okay, but they should take the trouble to clear cigarette butts and trash from the beach every morning. The pool area — I can’t even be bothered to write anything about it, it’s that bad. Same with the gym. The playground is fine. A little praise for Rita at the pool bar, who at least said hi and smiled broadly :) We were originally supposed to stay 3 nights, but chose to leave after 1 night as we couldn’t bear to stay any longer. We didn’t try any of the meals except a pizza on the beach, which was semi-prepared and nothing to write home about. One person who truly deserves praise was their driver who took us to and from the harbor. He didn’t speak English, but he was very kind and helpful. If the hotel had any pride, they would have refunded us for the last two nights. Not recommended!

Horrible experience – not worth the money. The service was extremely poor, bordering on rude. The building is in very bad condition, and while the pool area looks great in the photos, it is very disappointing in reality. We stayed for a week, and not once was our room properly cleaned. The staff only made the beds. They also tried to charge us for breakfast even though we had already paid for it in advance. In hindsight, we wish we hadn’t, as the breakfast was really bad! I do not recommend this hotel at all.
