Agionissi Resort

I read a few criticisms on this hotel, saying it was not a 4 star hotel as announced. Well honestly, that is really not important when you take all the benefits of staying there. 5 minutes away from the village/town by car, the hotel offers a great view on the bay. Rooms are very clean thanks to a great and professional clean team; charming Maria at the reception is there to help and give any recommandations you would need. Swimming pool is really big and most of the time quite. Nice and fresh breakfast with a view on the sea. And you see that management is really about doing its best for the comfort, quietness, sustainability, ... So definitively an hotel where we will go back. 2 advise/negative aspects to know - really a lot of seagulls (especially on the top rooms) meaning a lot, really a lot of noise in the night (sometimes, you feel like in the hitchcock movie the Birds ...) - the lifeguard at the swimming pool should, as he is there, at least make the rules respected (no jump in the swimming pool, shower before, ...)

The staff was incredible! Such a great energy! We really loved the private beach and from now on we will start looking for that everywhere we go. The food was very nice as well a big variety on breakfast, and the seafood risotto for dinner was delicious. They also had the football showing on a big screen which was very nice for us, and they where ready to have the bar open a bit longer just for us to be able to see our late game, that was very appreciated

A beautiful place in nature, where, however, it is impossible to sleep. The hotel has been taken over by flocks of seagulls that cackle all night long. Their flights over the balcony will reliably drive you from the balcony back inside, you’re afraid to leave the window open, and it’s practically impossible to dry your swimsuit and towel if you mind bird droppings. The hotel does nothing about the seagulls. Cleaning of feathers and bird excrement does take place, but with this number of birds nesting directly on the roofs of the buildings, it’s a futile effort. The hotel should generally raise its standard of cleanliness and housekeeping overall. Dirty mattresses, birds flying through the laundry room, floors mopped only superficially, unswept balconies covered in bird droppings. It’s a sad sight — a deteriorating hotel that, with a bit of care, could be a wonderful place for a vacation.
