We recently stayed at Alia Palace Hotel & Villas and overall had a wonderful holiday. There were some areas that could definitely be improved, but there were also plenty of positives that would make us consider returning.
Starting with the negatives, the biggest disappointment was the food. Unfortunately, much of it was barely edible and we found ourselves either buying food from the pool bar or eating out at local restaurants. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend booking bed and breakfast rather than all inclusive.
The all-inclusive drinks package was also quite disappointing. The menu feels very restrictive, with many popular cocktails excluded. For example, a Piña Colada cost €15, and surprisingly, even a virgin Piña Colada was charged at the same price. The pricing simply didn't make sense and made the all-inclusive package feel poor value for money.
Another downside was the evening entertainment, which was almost non-existent. Most evenings lacked any real atmosphere or entertainment, and the only night that felt lively was the karaoke night—and that was mainly because the guests created the atmosphere themselves rather than the hotel.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, but for a five-star resort, they could be a little more luxurious and modern.
Now for the positives. The views are absolutely breathtaking and were undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. The pool area is stunning, with panoramic views across the sea and surrounding coastline. The staff were fantastic throughout our holiday—friendly, professional and always willing to help. A special mention goes to the lovely lady around the pool area (I believe her name was Talia), who was particularly attentive and made a real difference to our stay.
We also felt that this hotel is particularly well suited to couples, especially older couples looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The tranquil atmosphere, beautiful scenery and quiet surroundings make it ideal for those wanting to unwind rather than looking for a lively resort experience.
Would I return? Yes, absolutely - but only on a bed and breakfast basis. The stunning views, beautiful pool and outstanding staff make it worth visiting again, but I would much rather enjoy the excellent local restaurants than pay for the all-inclusive package.
Great for couples seeking a peaceful retreat, but the food, drinks package and lack of evening entertainment prevent it from being a true five-star experience.

We compromised a sea view room for one with a bath and were disappointed that they no longer have baths due to a refurbishment but have not updated the website or emailed us beforehand to let us know. The reservations manager handled it by saying you can just leave if you don’t like it, very professional. As it had cost 250 euro round trip to get there, we were expecting a higher level of service and manners. Consequently we were over looking the road with people walking past and stray dogs sleeping in the shade right outside our balcony, one being an Alsatian. I also got bitten quite badly with bugs in the room. They offered us a meal in the A la Carte restaurant which is actually one of the outside bar tables roasting in the sun and brought all the food at the same time together, with a swarm of wasps. No measures had been taken to deter said wasps and so we had to abort meal (as did other guests), it was not worth the bother and the food was cold anyway. Outside jacuzzi was broken, only two jets worked the whole time we were there with no one attempting to fix it. Spa looked depressing so didn’t bother. No Prosecco in the AI unless you pay around 32 euros extra. No cava/Prosecco breakfast either which is unusual for a 5 star. There were a few good things but they were outweighed by the bad. The cocktails were terrible, squash with the cheapest spirits tasted horrible and in plastic disposable beer cups. Other establishments invest in reusable plastic cocktail glasses and offer Prosecco or better quality spirits - not here. It’s full of insta people, talking loudly, showing off in the infinity pool. We just wanted a classy, relaxed, fun break, but this was not it. The live music consisted of a DJ playing music and a violinist playing over it for a few minutes and the next night a saxophonist doing the same thing, then repeated for the next two nights - so boring and repetitive. The other salsa night was a couple dancing salsa to piped music - looked like they had just got up from the audience - really poor entertainment. Food was poor with the main dish on the griddle being rice with sweetcorn or mashed potatoes - yippee! Oh and the inside bar is never open unless the pool bar is closed so no atmosphere inside and you have to take whatever drink you can stomach all the way from the pool bar to your room which is up a really steep hill or spill it all over you if you wait for a buggy. Lovely.

This Resort is 2 hours from the airport, on a hill, but it is very clean.
Rooms are lovely with amazing views.
Regular bus to and from the beach.
Food is good.
Got told after a week that you can't wear beach wear to dinner, I don't see why as it's only a buffer style meal.
Entertainment is poor.... absolutely nothing during the day...the best night is a Thursday where they have karaoke, that is the only night we found that the guests actually enjoyed themselves.
We stayed 10 nights and only went out 1 night, first week the karaoke peeps were sick, so we only had one night of actually enjoying ourselves.
The other nights is a violinist or a guy playing a saxophone.
Maybe some people's holiday fun, but not many people's.
A lot of people we spoke to said the same.
Drinks were also limited for all inclusive guests. I've never experienced this on an all inclusive before.
I personally would not return here also be warned you have to pay 15euros per night on arrival for your stay, we had to pay out 150euro.
This was not expected either,
