Calypso

I spent 11 nights at this hotel in June 2024. It's very nice, comfortable and clean hotel, my room was nice, with new furniture and beautiful balcony. The staff was polite and very friendly. My room was cleaned every day and bed linen was changed every 2 days. Breakfasts were tasty and diverse. Good location as lots of cafes, restaurants and shops are nearby. It was a good experience for me for its price.

Unsuitable for hotel stay! More specifically, at our arrival the behavior of the groom of the company was unacceptable in style, because we left, to download things, the car in front of the door. In addition, they charge 8€ each night the hotel's parking lot with the excuse that it pays for the parking space, while no other hotel follows such a tactic and we do not talk about such a hotel that is included in the charges. Although the rooms are more than 3 meters, there is no elevator in case a person is in the vulnerable groups, illegal. The pool has cables and wooden floors, broken sunbeds and umbrellas. The rooms are dangerous, there is not even a can to throw the garbage in the room (see also related photos). Breakfast with bakery ingredients and instead of margarine butter. After my husband's suggestion to the owner, the reaction was ironic and superstitious. Owners seek only to receive money and not to provide quality to the customer. To us they replied that the hotel is 2 stars, let's see what they will answer to the competent authority of health and protection of the citizen..(for Greeks the rooms 85€ and for foreigners 140€ that with 140€ go to 5 stars). They went to make us a few euro discounts, instead of professionally deleting all the rest there was.

I spent 3 nights in July 2020, i want to advice this hotel, in Calypso Hotel you can have good time and relax! I booked direct via mail and they made me a good price and as i arrived late night they organised a taxi pick up service from Thessaloniki airport! Rooms are clean and spacious, with a nice balcony! Swimming pool and relax areas. Location is direct in the centre and few minuts walking to the beach! Restaurants around the property! Last but not least everybody working here are very friendly and helpfull! I will come back to beautiful Hanioti and i will stay here!
