Airotel Malaconda Beach

We had booked a week at this hotel via Voyage Privé for the end of June/beginning of July. Booking confirmation received. We arrived at the Amaronda hotel and there, to our great astonishment, we were told there was an overbooking and that we would not have a room at this hotel. We got back on the bus headed to another hotel supposedly upgraded compared to the Amaronda.... And total disappointment.... Infamous cafeteria food, a major road nearby causing continuous infernal noise, construction work at 8 a.m. (drill...). 2 days later (following complaints from 19 people in our case) we were moved to another hotel. Very beautiful hotel but does not offer all-inclusive... Just breakfast. So every day we were forced to go to the Amaronda on foot or by shuttle at fixed times (12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.), preventing us from enjoying the activities and the all-inclusive package at the hotel we had booked and selected. Our sea view turned into a WALL view... In the end, ruined vacations, stress, no entertainment or ice cream possible, or only at an extra cost because it was not included in our replacement hotel.... No commercial gesture from the Amaronda.... Very disappointing.

We just left and I feel compelled to write this review. The resort is beautiful and comfortable. The food is good and the meals are very abundant and varied. There is a spa which, however, we did not use. The area does not offer much and a car is necessary for getting around. But what struck us most is the kindness of the staff. In particular, we thank Cristhos who was with us today for more than an hour, helping us find a flight solution after easyJet, 3 hours before departure for our return to Italy, canceled the flight and did not offer any solution for the day.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel future guests deserve to know what happened. I booked and prepaid two Superior Bungalows with Sharing Pool & Garden View months in advance because I was planning to propose to my partner during our stay. I even informed the hotel beforehand, and they thanked us for choosing their resort for such an important occasion. The two bungalows were the sole reason I chose Amaronda. I wanted our families to stay together, enjoy the shared pool and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime moment together. However, when we arrived, we were told—without any prior warning—that only one of the two confirmed bungalows was available. The second was replaced with a basic twin room of a much lower standard. Had I been informed before travelling, I would simply have booked another hotel. To make matters worse, the replacement room was in poor condition, with visible mould in the bathroom, a dirty ventilation system and twin beds that separated during the night. Offering us dinner did not compensate for failing to provide accommodation that had already been confirmed and prepaid. The saddest part is that this happened on the day I got engaged. That experience can never be recreated. The resort itself has potential and the bungalow we did receive was pleasant, but failing to honour confirmed reservations—especially without informing guests before arrival—and then offering no meaningful solution is simply unacceptable. I hope the management takes responsibility so that no other guests experience the same disappointment.
