It's a shame as this hotel has so much potential! The exterior is lovely and the pools are really inviting. The ladies in the spa are fantastic and so great to have thermal pools! The location right by the sea is beautiful (although it is a little hair-raising crossing the road as the zebra crossing is barely visible to the cars and they don't stop unless you are right in front of them). We decided to book after reading the reviews about the amazing staff, good food and seeing the photos of the pools, thinking that we didn't mind too much about dated rooms, but actually, this wasn't the right booking for us and we wouldn't go back. Unfortunately there is maintenance needed in many areas of the hotel - the rooms have signs of leaks, we killed over 15 mosquitos in our bathroom one evening (not sure how they were getting in when we barely opened the door to the balcony as there were so many outside). We were given mosquito plugs but they didn't help and it felt that perhaps they were getting in through the air conditioning. Other areas of the hotel are also tired and the main restaurant has no atmosphere - it's a large indoor room with lots of the blinds closed against the sun. The food was average and as there was a teenage summer camp also there at the same time, felt like we were eating at a high school canteen. We're happy to have salad and grilled meat or fish which are served here, but there was only ever 1 grilled meat option and 2x in 6 meals it was veal liver which isn't something we're very keen on. Very much felt like they were supplying quantity over quality. Apparently there was another restaurant but when we went there to ask about it, no staff would speak to us and we didn't manage to find out any more. As a couple of other people have mentioned, the food was repetitive and there wasn't much care taken over presentation. We've seen so much better in other hotels at a similar price. Also, the staff pouring water never asked if we wanted any other drinks. I imagine you could ask for other things, but it was a bit of a theme that there was almost no information about anything unless you asked for it. The teenagers on their summer camp were teenagers and having a fantastic time, but it did mean that they were running around shouting in the evening, climbing over balconies and not really aware of their impact to other guests. We struggled to sleep with all the noise and when I asked about this at reception, we told that these camps were a regular thing and there were supervisors - if there was a problem, we could call security. Totally understand that the supervisors can't be everywhere as there were so many kids, and the kids were there to have fun, but this was not the relaxing experience we were looking for when booking... and definitely not at a 5* hotel. We didn't manage to sit around the pool as the loungers were reserved before 7am. We went down to the beach where there were loads more loungers, but all in very badly kept grounds full of cigarette butts, ring pulls, scrubby ground, loungers with holes in them and dirty drinks tables. Very little landscaping or attempt to make the area attractive. I think this wasn't the hotel for us as we had been hoping for a child-friendly but not overrun hotel (we were with our own teenagers), that was restful and where we would feel a little spoiled at the end of our holiday. We love our food, but the selection didn't have much variety from meal to meal, so for us, meals were a disappointment, the facilities were a disappointment and it didn't have the relaxing atmosphere we were looking for. Our tips for anyone going would be to get up very early to reserve a lounger by the pool, bring your own entertainment, ask the staff if you want something (don't wait for anything to be offered as you could be waiting a long time) and bring lots of bug spray.

On the positive side, the staff is lovely, kind, and very attentive. The hotel and the pools are very clean (free access to the thermal pools). Shops are nearby with lovely shopkeepers. Our room with a sea view was super comfortable, pleasant, with adjustable AC, mini-fridge/freezer, and mosquito repellent provided. The housekeeping is top-notch (towels changed 2 times/day by lovely staff). Big plus for all-inclusive: the coolers with snack boxes for excursions! The location is perfect for visiting central Greece (car required). The food is decent with a wide selection, even if it remains repetitive. However, there is no parking, you have to park haphazardly and are sometimes blocked in. The pools open late in the morning (10 a.m. - 8 p.m.) and the gym follows the SPA schedule (so it opens late: 10 a.m.), the SPA is very expensive and the manager is very unpleasant. We slept very poorly there: the environment is noisy morning and evening, and the rooms are so poorly soundproofed that we could hear the neighbors snoring (and more). The 3rd bed was a simple cot even though we paid for 3 adults. At the restaurant, my nut allergies were ignored: no adjustments were made, I had to eat watermelon and melon at EVERY meal. Furthermore, service at the outdoor bar is very slow, even when it is not busy. The hotel beach is very dirty, with no activities or rentals available (pedal boat/SUP), and the presence of jellyfish was never reported to us. Finally, the lounge chairs are reserved with towels as early as 6 a.m.; some days we didn't get any, and the manager (whom we spoke to about it) wasn't even that shocked and showed little concern for customer relations (fortunately his assistant, Dimitris, is top-notch and makes up for everything).

We stayed at Mitsis Galini and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing despite the hotel being advertised as a 5-star property. The overall condition of the hotel was far below expectations. The facilities were poorly maintained, with broken doors, damaged and worn-out furniture, and generally unclean common areas. The rooms were also not properly maintained or cleaned, and we encountered insects inside the room, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. Service was another major issue. The restaurant staff were often unhelpful and at times disrespectful when we asked simple questions or requested basic items such as forks or knives. Instead of assistance, we were met with irritation and unwelcoming attitudes during breakfast service. Overall, the experience did not match the standards expected from a hotel of this category, and it significantly affected our stay
