I really don't get how it can be considered 5 stars. It's huge and a little eerie - our room was all the way to the back of the hotel, down a ramp, past deserted corridors. The room had no air conditioning because it's close to winter so it has been switched to heating. The front desk told to just open the window if it's stuffy which we did. We found out later that some other people in the group had windows that opened out to a passageway (unlike ours which opens into an airwell). So it's either sleep without ventilation or risk having someone climb into your room. The front desk said it's safe. Of course they would, what else could they say?
But the worst part of this hotel room was that there was this HUGE painting on the wall (it practically covered the wall) that looked like it was dripping blood!! I mean seriously???? Who would hang this sort of painting in a hotel room?? It just added to the haunted hotel vibe 🫣 I couldn't possibly sleep with that staring and me, so my roommate took it down and propped it facing the wall.

This hotel claims to be a 5 star hotel - it’s not. We enjoyed the historical aspect of the hotel and public areas were very nice and contemporary but the rooms were a different story.
To begin, our room was incredibly warm with no way to cool the room off because (according to the front desk) the hotel is either heated or cooled, never both. We were advised to open our window until it cooled off. We did that and it was working until we realized that mosquitoes were coming in along with the cooler air. So it was too warm to sleep well. The room was not well lit because there were only two small bedside lamps and two dim wall sconces. Our window looked out to the windows in rooms about 12 feet away, so little light entered the room. The only decent light was in the bathroom which was crowded with a sink, toilet and corner shower. To top it off, the complimentary instant coffee was only available the first day.
I will say that the buffet breakfast was very good.

Very small room for 1. Suite and 2. For three people! Also very small beds, especially the single (less than 90 cm)!! I ordered a coffee in the room that brought him 20-25 minutes after almost cold! The only good thing was that it is next to the barbarella!! The staff is polite!
