Acropolis Apartments

Perfect! The Acropolis Apartments is a family run business. The owner were always very friendly and helpful. We had a 10 day family holiday here and loved it. Under the apartments is a small cafe which is also run by the owners which is perfect to pop down to if you are feeling a little hungry. The pool area is a great size too for the amount of rooms in the apartment. I think we had one full pool day but always came back at the end of our days exploring for a cool down in the pool. We used the apartments as a base to go out and explore the local area which was beautiful. We hired a boat, travelled to other towns via bus and did a quad safari too. I would 100% book these apartments again.

We have just returned home today from Acropolis Apartments after our ninth visit there. It’s quite simply my perfect holiday destination, the family who run this have become some of my best friends in life, they are so friendly and welcoming and have a great sense of humour. The beach is a 5 minute walk away as is the main street, the rooms are spotlessly clean and the prices are very good. 10/10 👍

A genuine example of what great hospitality should feel like. We stayed at Acropolis Apartments for seven nights, from 7 to 14 July, with our two children aged 13 and 11. This was our first visit to the Greek islands, so we were unsure what to expect. From the moment we arrived, we were taken aback by the warmth and hospitality shown by the family who run Acropolis Apartments. They were genuinely happy to have us as their guests. Every member of the family was friendly, attentive, informative and always smiling. They took the time to answer our questions, offer local advice and recommend places both nearby and further across Crete. Nothing ever felt forced or done because they had to. Their hospitality was honest, natural and personal. I work in hospitality myself, and this family reminded me what great hospitality is meant to look and feel like. It is something which feels increasingly rare these days. They did more than provide good service. They made us feel welcome, valued and cared for throughout our stay. I cannot express how fortunate we felt to find this gem of a place, or how highly we thought of every member of the family. The location, apartments and restaurant were all excellent, but the people made the holiday special. Rooms The apartment was clean and had everything our family needed for a seven-night stay. Air conditioning cost extra, but the price was reasonable and well worth paying during July. Nearby activities The location sits in the perfect middle ground. Supermarkets, beaches, restaurants, nightlife, sights and activities are all nearby, while the apartments are far enough away from the louder and busier areas. Safety Safety was never a concern during our stay. Our whole family felt comfortable and safe throughout the holiday. Walkability Almost everything you could need is within a one to five minute walk, including supermarkets, restaurants, shops and entertainment. Food and drinks The family run their own restaurant at the front of the apartments, with indoor and outdoor seating. We ate there several times and the whole family enjoyed a wide range of dishes and drinks. Noteworthy details The honest and genuine hospitality shown by the whole family. They consistently went above and beyond in small, thoughtful ways, without making a show of it. They treated us as welcomed guests rather than paying customers, and this made a lasting impression on all four of us. We highly recommend Acropolis Apartments to families, couples and anyone visiting Crete.
