Cretasun Apartments

The resort is very close to the beach, has its own pool and there is plenty of shade, provided by the well maintained trees rather than the traditional parasols which we liked. There are plenty of very good bars and restaurants within walking distance, where the staff are welcoming and helpful. The local food was excellent. I would recommend having a car to get the most out of the surrounding area. Nikolaos the Manager was particularly helpful and was happy to provide helpful advice on the local area. The rooms were a little bit dated, which added to the rustic charm of the resort, but functional and everything worked as expected. I would go back to the resort again and would eb happy to recommend it to friends, looking for a relaxing vacation.

In Makri Gialos we checked in at the Cretansun Apartments in apartment number 5 which was on the ground floor. We did not notice it when we looked at the apartment but when we started to use the bathroom began to smell bad. Then we had packed everything up and made ourselves at home so we decided to stay there for the three nights we paid for. Location was good but you should choose another apartment if one is to stay there.

Our first call to Creta Sun to ask about transport at night, he sayd no problem! In the reality there is no bus at night, so we had to rent a car. We came to the place at 2AM, nobody was waiting us. It was a norwegian family with small children waiting too. They call the manager who send his son to open the appartment, but it was just one appartment and we was two families. After a while came the manager and after one hour we get an appartment in the neibourhood. The day after he give us an appartment, but not with seaview as we wrote in our reservation. We meet the norwegian family who looks terrible. They tell us that they did'nt sleep at all because they don't find out how the aircondition works. When we left, he was so busy to sale us some more days at Creta Sun, that he forget to give us the passport. Off course we did'nt get a receipt for the whole stay, like the most part of the greek people, they don't want to pay her taxes. The manager brag he own 65 appartments, but he can't give the normally service for just one. Otherwise the appartments are nice and clean and the position is the top.
