Ekati

I came out to Crete which I do every year twice a year as I fell in love with the place over 15 years ago as a young kid. I usually stay at the palatia village in up town hersonissos which I highly recommend. But this year I stayed at the ekati which is basically malia 5 mins down the road. I would highly recommend staying at the ekati it was a very well secluded peaceful stay. The owners are great who you rarely see but always at a helping hand if needed. The cleaner is on hand at all times and she is very friendly and lovely. The pool area is usually quiet as people who stay usually are out gallivanting along the beach for the day. If your looking for a quiet stay on your own or in a couple it is so ideal. If you want to find some noise go for a 10 min walk to the left or right out of the hotel and you will find clubs and load of restaurants. I will 100% come back here in the future.

Our apartment was the closest of the Ekati rooms to the beach - under the pool area with a few steps down to a small beach shared with the hotel next door. The room was basic but clean with a decent shower and plenty of hot water - what more do you need?! We had fresh towels and linen every couple of days and the bins were emptied daily. Aircon was free and a safe was available if needed. The pool was lovely and very quiet - it was great to be able to lie by the pool but have the sea just 2 minutes away. We had a lovey stay and would definitely book again if we go back to the area.

These are very basic apartments but very tranquil off the main road but so quiet down a path with olive trees very secluded with a pool right on top of the beach. We had amazing views from our apartment better than any top class hotel made our stay here perfect. If you want somewhere that gives you the away from everyone feeling but is still on top of everything this is it.
