Good morning! We were a family of 6 (4 bedrooms) for our stay at Elotia Hotel at the end of April 2026. A small Cretan hotel, Elotia is convenient and quiet, managed with great discretion and friendliness by Mr. Manolis and Mrs. Efthia. We loved their kindness and attentiveness. Highlights: their great kindness, the location just steps away from 4 beautiful beaches and a large park for sports. At the top of the main street, you will find supermarkets and taverns. The bus passes nearby to go to Chania in 15 minutes. We enjoyed the dinners with Cretan dishes on the terrace. The breakfasts are complete and of high quality. The rooms are simple and functional. The value for money is excellent. We have already booked for October. Thank you Manolis and Efthia, see you soon!

Hotel Elotia is very well situated being in a quiet area close to several beaches; two bus routes one to Chania and one in the opposite direction; a short walk to two large supermarkets, and a plethora of places to eat with two virtually on the doorstep - Pergola being our all time favourite. These were the main reasons we chose to stay here and because it is a small hotel and more traditionally Greek. Manolis greeted us when we arrived late afternoon and he showed us to room 23 which was up several flights of stairs. We asked to change to another room, as we had booked twin beds and were given room 27 overlooking parts of the garden with a side view to the sea. The room was a good size, very nicely decorated, very clean and the beds were so very comfortable. The bathroom was big enough with a shower curtain and tiled upstand around the shower, so the floor didn't get flooded and we had a balcony with a table and chairs, with a clothes airer. Always plenty of hot water apart from about an hour one evening with no water at all when the local area was affected but the supply was quickly restored. The drawer space provided was very shallow and didn't hold much. Our room was in full sun from about 1.45 in the afternoon which did make the room extremely hot. Rooms are serviced every day except Sundays and the bed linen and towels were changed three times a week and the free wifi is a real bonus. Breakfast is taken in the upstairs dining room and was well presented with plenty of options both hot /warm and cold, which were replenished often. No diary alternative milk but it wasn't a problem to buy a carton at the supermarket. It's also possible to have dinner in the evening for an additional €12 . We found all staff very friendly and helpful and Manolis secured car hire for us at a very reasonable rate. The area around the pool is quite limited and is in full sun from around 1 pm. and we didn't see any umbrellas for shade. There are also two inspection hatches with the hosepipe laying around - bit of a trip hazard. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel if you like a quiet area with several dining options and close to amenities. If you have mobility issues, you may struggle with the stairs, unless you can get a ground floor room, although the breakfast room is up a spiral staircase.
