Not well maintained, a building constructed with minimal budget which offered rooms at a high price compared to the rest of the market at the area of Kolymvari or even Chania.
We had a really bad experience and when we asked for a refund they said no- no wonder why they have a non-refundable policy. When you see it, you do not want to go back.

We booked a room to stay for a few days in ILIAKTIDA apartments- it was actually an awful experience and if I myself had not been familiar with Cretan hospitality before, I would have been completely disappointed by that experience. So, to sum up a fiew highlights for this room:
—The main door was too old, was not working properly, consisted of a very cheap structure which reminded of doors used in slums in third-world countries. The glass, used on the main door, was transparent (apparently that was initially designed as an interior door and then, to save money, it was used as a main room door, though with an adhesive plastic on it to
minimize transparency).
—This main door was also so old that the landlord herself could not open it and had to kick it in order to make it move !!!
—The mattresses used were too old, overused and too hard to sleep on.
—The wall sockets (powerpoints) were so old and not well-maintained that all of them were coming off the wall when we tried to plug in a mobile charger and as a result of it, the charger could not make good contact to support the charging.
—Everything was too old and gave the impression that the landlord tried to construct a room using very cheap equipment and material. The overall picture was not good at all and not in accordance with what you can usually find in Crete. We ended up moving to another complex in Gerani, to ensure some good sleep and decent accommodation. I had read reviews before booking but I suspect that the reviews I had read had been written by people in the social circle of the owner.

A great place to stay. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms impeccably clean and comfortable. We had access to the most beautiful sightings in Chania. It's totally worth its money. Can't wait to come back.
